We watch long videos, read long articles and record voice notes to ourselves. Then we forget almost all of it. The saved links pile up and are never opened again.
So we built a tool that does the reading at the moment you save something. It writes a short note, pulls out the ideas worth keeping, and files them where you will find them. The first version was for our own use. In one sitting it turned 18 long videos and articles into 153 small ideas, each one linked back to where it came from. That is when we knew it should be an app.
Where the name comes from
WillPear comes from William Shakespeare. Will from William, pear from the end of Shakespeare. The mark is a pear with a quill for a stem: a writer's tool and something simple and friendly, in one small shape.
Who makes it
WillPear is made in Bratislava by VLD Ventures, a small studio that builds tools for people who create and learn. We keep your data in the EU, we do not sell it, and we do not run ads.
